Commentary
In all of Malaysia, Bumiputra (Malay) make up about 70% of the population and Chinese make up about 20%. Selangor (which covers most of the area known as "Klang Valley/ Greater Kuala Lumpur") has a slightly higher proportion of Chinese and Indian people than the rest of the country. In the central area of W.P. KL (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur: population about 1.7 million), the proportion of Chinese is large at 42.4%.
