<Data Joke> Issues living in Japan
I have been in Singapore for 9 years. I worked 2 years in Japan before coming to Singapore and 3 years in Australia before that for my master. Also because of this pandemic I haven't visited Japan for almost 2 years. I finally got a flight to visit Japan on next month but of course I will stay at a hotel. Then… can I count me as a Japanese in this case? Honestly I'm not confident.
I clearly remember what happened when I came back to Japan from Australia. Few of my friends planned a welcome party for me at a restaurant. I wanted to say "Bill please" to the staff but the Japanese words didn't come up for a while. Since I was frozen, my ex-boss noticed the trouble in my Japanese and told to the staff instead (embarrassing). I actually have many governmental paper work to do this time but I don't think I can complete them without any troubles. Ok, now I'm interested in how foreigners survive in Japana? (Why)

Asia to Japan (2020) shows the result of the question to 200 of Asian foreign desk workers "what did you struggle living in Japan". Well my first impression was, they didn't face that much troubles. Umm, they are awesome.
Things which shows relatively high % are about communication with colleagues or bosses as expected. How every they are around 25% to 30% according to the research. This is my guts feeling without evidence but I assume most of Japanese people who got a job overseas face to communication troubles (Not confident). Also my stereotype about Japanese company is "long working hour". But % of people who have struggled from amount of work is only 15%. Not that high. Umm, they are again awesome.
Honestly speaking, I'm not confident if I can reach to the destination using that confusing public transportation in Tokyo, it is surprising that only 4% suffers from the transportation. Not sure if that is because Japan is not a difficult place to live or foreigners in Japan are too good. Maybe the latter…
