解説
夏は平均気温が18度と非常に過ごしやすく、しばしば20度以下になることもある。ただ近年、ロンドンでは30度を超える熱波も発生している。 春と秋の気温は約11～15度。3月末（～10月末まで）にはブリティッシュ・サマータイム（British Summer Time）が到来し、夜の気温が低くなる。 冬の標準的な気温は2～10度（35～50度）。気温が氷点下に下がることはあまりなく雪が降ることもそれほどないが、まれに大雪が降ることもある。 雨の日（0.25mm以上の雨が降った日）の数は年間を通してかなり一定で、毎月11日から15日間の雨が降っている。 全体的な降水量は11月と8月が最も多く、3月と4月は少ない年が多い。
