Excluding Hong Kong and Singapore, where the urban population is 100%, Japan has the highest urban population ratio, accounting for 91.7% of the total population. Europe, the U.S., and Japan account for about 80-90%, while the UAE and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East also account for more than 80%. Looking at the most recent two years, urbanization has been increasing, especially in China and Southeast Asia. Among them, China and Vietnam have the highest rate of increase with 2% growth, followed by Thailand and India.

Singapore has the highest population density of 7,968 people per square kilometer, followed by Hong Kong (6,659 people). Looking at the last five years, all countries except Japan show an increase, with Saudi Arabia's population density largely increasing by 12.1 points. Japan saw a slight decrease of 0.9 points.
