近年、ペットの存在は家庭の中で飼い主とペットというよりも重要な家族の一員へと徐々に変化している。
ペットを飼うことに関するより科学的な理念が、 より高品質で専門的なサービスや商品を提供する よう市場を後押しし、活況を呈するペット経済が正式に一般市民の目に触れるようになった。
データによると、2022年の中国ペット産業の市場規模は約3117億元で、 2023年には前年比 25.9%増の3924億元に拡大すると予想されている。

一方、6月2日、 京東の公式発表によると、 今年618回目の28時間活動で、 京東ペット市場で28 時間の小売売上高が前年比56%以上増加し、 新規ユーザーは前年比120%以上増加、百万 件の売上を記録した人気商品の売上個数が前年比3倍以上増加した。 これらはすべて、 ペット愛好 家の購買意欲と、 市場ポテンシャルの無限の可能性を物語っている。

近年、「科学的にペットを飼う」という概念が人々の心に深く根付き、 「ペットを飼える」から「ペット をきちんと飼うことができる」 に変化し、 飼い主たちの一致した認識になっている。 多くの企業は次の 2つの方向性を切り口として、 新商品を発売したり、 既存商品のアップグレードに取り入れている。
