While I seldom use 7-11(convenience store) in Singapore, I go there quite often when I stay in Japan. Very often. a cup of iced coffee in the morning, 110 JPY ($1.2+ SGD) which is as cheap as a shot of Kopi in Singapore. It is cheap and good. I go to get morning coffee in FLASH COFFEE every morning in Singapore. That is $3 SGD. Ummm. What makes the price so different. I feel like 7-11 does something bad to keep the price (Of course not).
I woke up early today. In Singapore, sun rises around 7am, very late. Its still dark around 6:30AM which makes us difficult to get up early (What an excuse?). In Japan, 5am is day time in summer and it is easy to wake up early (Of course, I don't). So I really became a person who don't wake up early… Not Singapore's fault Lol.

The chart above is the annual trend of sunrise time of both Singapore and Japan (JP: NAOJ (2022), SG:Time and date AS(2022). Blue is Singapore and red line is Japan. Do you find it interesting? Singapore sunrise is very late. Yellow line is the calculation of 1 hour earlier than Singapore. This actually looks reasonable (personally). Yes Singapore is in interesting time zone!
Looking at a map, Singapore is located at right (east..) of Bangkok and left of Jakarta. Both cities have 2 hour time gap from Japan. Singapore is in between 2 cities but the time difference from Japan is 1 hour… Strange. Some Singaporean told me that it is aligned with HK time zone for economic reasons. Historically it seems Singapore followed Malaysia time. Anyway, Singapore consistently has 12 hour long day time through a year and I don't care about when the sun comes out and sets anymore. Although, I'm surprised a bit when I'm overseas.
