In 2023, Japan had the lowest proportion of women of reproductive age in its total female population at 36.9%, while the UAE had the highest at 65.9%.
Compared to 2022, many countries and regions in East Asia saw a decrease. Hong Kong saw the largest decline at 2.0%, followed by South Korea (-1.4%) and Taiwan (-1.4%). On the other hand, countries that saw an increase included Saudi Arabia (+0.9%), the Philippines (+0.7%), and Malaysia (+0.2%).

Commentary
In 2021, Japan has the lowest percentage of reproductive age population in each country's female population at 37.4%, and the UAE has the highest percentage at 65.2%.
Compared to 2020, many East Asian countries/regions show declines. Among them, Hong Kong has the largest decrease at 2.2%. This is followed by South Korea (-2.0%) and China (-1.7%). On the other hand, India (+0.2%) and the Philippines (+0.1%) are the countries that are increasing.

2020年の各国女性人口における再生産年齢人口の割合は、日本が38.4%で最も低く、UAEが67.0%で最も高い。 2015年と比較して、東アジア諸国では減少の幅が大きい。中でも香港が9.2%減で最も大きい。次いで中国（-9.1%）、韓国（-8.6%）と続く。一方で、増加している国はインド（+0.9%）とフィリピン（+0.3%）。
