タイの持ち家率は縮小傾向にあり、1990年から2010年までの20年間で8.5ポイント低下。特に中部地方(Central Region)では14.7ポイント低下した。

2010年のバンコクの持ち家率は52.8％で、最も高い北東部(​Northeastern Region)の92.7％と比べて39.9ポイントの開きがある。
