This report summarizes the lifestyles and perceptions of the next upper class (people with high household incomes) in India.

Summary

India's next upper class people tend to have inherited the occupations of their parents and have expanded their businesses in their own generation by Indian economy growing. The family structure is often in the form of a parents + one child + grand-parents and employing a maid. Some families dare to leave their children alone in order to provide them with a good education, the two most common things they spend money on were education and travel. We also found that they are very health-conscious with paying attention to exercise and food.
