Japanese food culture is known worldwide, and many Japanese restaurants have opened overseas.
On the other hand, the experience of cooking and eating Japanese food at home is still limited to a few consumers.
The results of an Internet survey provided hints about the targeting and needs necessary for Japanese food culture to penetrate and take root locally in the future.
This report is the first of a series of reports on Japanese food penetration and image of Japanese food in “Thailand.

What is the image of Japanese food?
In addition to “good taste,” “use of healthy ingredients” and “cooking methods that make the most of the ingredients” were also cited as images of Japanese food.
In particular, women in their 30s and 40s, who are highly health-conscious, strongly recognize “attention to ingredients” as a characteristic of Japanese food.
