Commentary

While most countries have a male labor force participation rate of 70-80% for all males over the age of 15, the UAE has an outstandingly high rate of 90%.
By age, the age at which the labor force participation rate drops below 60% varies by country.
The countries where the rate drops below 60% at 60 years old and over are China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.
The countries where the rate drops below 60% at 60 years old and over are Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, the UAE, and Myanmar.  Indonesia, in particular, has the highest labor force participation rate of people aged 65 and over of these 18 countries with 62.1%.
